Bossa Nova Brazilian Cuisine
How is it going guys!
I asked you once about using a nylon string guitar in jazz and really appreciate the help and advice I got from you. Thanks again!
Well.. I'm only having my first steps in jazz guitar, but for the past few weeks, I've been listening most of the time to a lot, a lot of bossa nova.. mainly A.C.Jobim, Joao Gilberto and others.. that I now just can't help it no more.. I'm crazy in love with this whole music genre! I really dig the rhythms, that brazilian groove, the jazzy improvisation going on along..
If I'm to give my whole attention to this style and learn how to play it seriously --and in the absence of a jazz teacher at the moment-- what method should I follow you think?
I get more fun from learning off method books, so I'd appreciate it a lot if you recommended good method book(s) that can teach me everything --hopefully-- I need to start playing bossa nova guitar and improvise in this style.. not just a songbook, but actual learning materials?
Thanks
All the best
