Hello for some reason I am not able to update this driver.

I have the HP Compaq Elite 8000 CMT with INTEL C2D E8500, 4GB RAM.

Can someone provide a fix for this please.

We had the same problem here with a Dell Optiplex 960 SFF.

It had 22 times tried unsuccessfully to install this driver.

Using the Intel SA00086 Detection Tool to check for the vulnerability this update was assumingly to solve, the tool ran into trouble: it did not detect the driver.

Note: Dell SupportAssist (latest version) found no updates, but that apparently implies that if a driver is not installed, there are no updates.

Went to the Dell support site, looked for the latest Intel AMT HECI Chipset Driver for this PC and installed it. Restarted the PC and went to Windows update, the message was gone….

The driver was not shown to be successfully installed and the counter remained at 22.

Once more searched for updates, PC was up to date, no messages for failed updates.

Ran the Intel SA00086 Detection Tool again and now the tool reported that based upon the analysis by this tool the system was not vulnerable.

That's why the update apparently was not required.

So you may not have a similar driver installed on your PC, resulting in the update failure.
